Frame (Surrey cricketer) : ウィキペディア英語版
Frame (Surrey cricketer)
Frame (first name and dates unknown) was an English cricketer who played for Surrey during the 1750s. He was the brother of John Frame.
==Career==
Frame is first mentioned in the report of the Kent v Surrey game at Dartford Brent on Friday, 6 July 1750; and he took part in the return match at the Artillery Ground the following Monday.〔 Kent won the first game and Surrey the second so a decider was staged at the Artillery Ground on Friday, 20 July, with Frame again playing for Surrey, but Kent won this match by 1 wicket. The source records that the London Cricket Club had ruled beforehand that players must reside in the county they represent and it is stated that the Frame brothers lived at Warlingham in 1750, though John Frame was latterly associated with Dartford and Kent.〔F S Ashley-Cooper, ''At the Sign of the Wicket: Cricket 1742-1751'', ''Cricket'' Magazine, 1900〕
Frame had established his reputation by 1750 and may have been active for some years previously. His brother played into the 1770s so it is reasonable to assume that he also played for many years after 1750.
